LGBTとアライのための法律家ネットワーク （LLAN）、アマゾン・ジャパン及びデービス・ポーク・アンド・ウォードウェルは、 共催イベント「Freedom to Marry」を2017年8月2日（水）に開催いたします。
本イベントでは、ドキュメンタリー映画の上映と、米国におけるLGBTの権利向上の中心的人物であるメアリー・ボノートとのディスカッションを行います。LLAN、アマゾン・ジャパン及びデービス・ポークは、LGBT（レズビアン、ゲイ、バイセクシャル、トランスジェンダー）の当事者の平等（equality）・多様性（diversity）・一体性（inclusion）を実現するという共通の目標を掲げています。
本イベントは、以下の三部構成を予定しております。

ボノート氏は、第一線の人権派弁護士であり、1990年よりGay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders （GLAD）の公民権プロジェクトのディレクターを務めています。同氏は、マサチューセッツ州において2003年に同性婚が容認された際に、法的側面をサポートする中心的役割を担いました。また、2015年に全米で同性婚が認められる契機となった米国連邦最高裁における裁判において同性婚の正当性を勝ち取った弁護団の一人です。交流会

A renowned civil rights lawyer who has been the Civil Rights Project Director at Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) since 1990. She was key to the legal effort to validate same-sex marriage in Massachusetts in 2003, and was one of the lawyers who successfully argued in favor of same-sex marriage before the US Supreme Court, leading to nationwide recognition of same-sex marriages in 2015.A reception with Mary and invitees
